As the leaves turn and the year winds down, November is a time when we naturally find ourselves reflecting on the themes of thankfulness and collective strength. As the Executive Director of The Black in Gaming Foundation, I am profoundly grateful for the vibrant community we've built together and the impact we've had on the gaming industry. This month, let us recommit to our mission with vigor and close out the year with a strong, unified front.
Our journey over the past year has been filled with both challenges and victories. Through each, you have shown an unwavering commitment to advocacy, building community, and the representation of Black voices in gaming. Your efforts and support have not only propelled our initiatives forward but have also fostered a sense of belonging and empowerment within our community.
As we approach the holiday season, it's essential to take a moment to appreciate the strides we've made and the allies we've gained. Let us use this time to express our gratitude to those who have been by our side, fighting for change and celebrating progress. Our collective strength is our greatest asset, and it is only together that we can continue to make meaningful advances.
As we gear up for the year ahead, let's remain steadfast in our goals and support one another in achieving new heights. We have much to be thankful for, but our work is far from over. Let's end this year with the same passion and dedication that has become the hallmark of The Black in Gaming Foundation.

A Toast to Connections Made and Knowledge Gained
Blerd Brews Gathering: The BIG LA collective has successfully convened once more for an enriching session of networking, connection, and growth. For those who haven't yet had the chance to join us, keep your eyes peeled for upcoming events – you won't want to miss what's next!
Getting Your Game Funded: On October 19th, we delved into the gaming universe with an insightful panel discussion featuring top investors and industry insiders. With the exchange of invaluable advice and success stories, attendees left armed with the tools to turn their gaming dreams into reality.
Talent Mixer for NYC Community-Builders: The following night, our mixer turned into a hotspot for networking, where NYC's community builders connected, sharing visions and forging potential partnerships that promise to shape the future of our tech landscape.
Team Formation Triumph: Our dedicated BIG volunteers stepped up to form their dynamic squads, laying the groundwork for this foundation's future. We are buzzing with excitement to witness the remarkable achievements that will emerge from their collaboration.
Black Spades Mixer Unveiled: Amidst the vibrant AfroTech buzz, we convened in the heart of Austin, Texas, marking the grand commencement of BIG AUSTIN. It was an evening of insightful dialogue with Cj Peters, the visionary behind Black Spades Game. Our community seized this opportunity to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the launch of a thrilling new season for the Austin cohort..
